Heaven is superior and earth is humble, the universe is fixed. The humble and the high are in the same position, the noble and the humble. Movement and stillness are constant, hardness and softness are broken. Similarities gather together, things are divided into groups, and good and bad things arise. It forms an image in the sky, takes shape on the earth, and changes are visible.
That is why hardness and softness rub each other, the Eight Diagrams sway each other, drum it up with thunder, moisten it with wind and rain; the sun and the moon move around, one is cold and the other is hot.
The Tao of Qian becomes a man, the Tao of Kun becomes a woman. Qian knows the great beginning, and Kun creates things.
"Qian is easy to know, Kun is simple to be able; Yi is easy to know, simplicity is easy to follow; easy to know, there are relatives, easy to follow, there is merit; if there are relatives, it will be long-lasting, and if there is merit, it will be great; if it is long-lasting, it will be the virtue of a wise man, if it is great, it will be the deeds of a wise man." It is easy and simple and the world's principles are understood. The principles of the world are in it.
