Liu Chenweng

Liu Chenweng (1233.2.4-1297.2.12), whose courtesy name was Huimeng and also nicknamed Xuxi. A native of Guanxi, Luling (now Xiaoguan Village, Meitang Township, Ji'an County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province). A famous patriotic poet in the late Southern Song Dynasty. In the third year of Jingding (1262), he became a Jinshi. He devoted his whole life to literary creation and literary criticism activities, leaving a valuable and rich cultural heritage for future generations. His posthumous works were compiled by his son Liu Jiangsun into "The Complete Works of Mr. Xu Xi", and "History of Song Dynasty·Yiwenzhi" recorded one hundred volumes, which has been lost.
