Zhao Changqing

Zhao Changqing is called Xianyuan layman. A native of Nanfeng, Jiangxi. A famous poet in the Song Dynasty. The Song clan lived in Nanfeng. His life story is unknown. He once went to the imperial examination and was alive around the end of Jiading, Ningzong of the Song Dynasty. It can be seen from the works that he was lonely when he was young and hated the luxurious life of the royal family. Later he resigned from the imperial capital, traveled around the mountains and rivers, lived in the south of the Yangtze River, lived in seclusion and lived a life of poverty. He sympathizes with the people, is friendly to his neighbors, and often writes lyrics for his fellow villagers. In his later years, he was lonely and depressed. "Siku Synopsis" says: "Changqing is content with being an official, drinking wine and chanting for his own entertainment, and chanting at will, often resulting in indifference and sparseness."
