
Zheng Gu (about 851-910) was a famous poet in the late Tang Dynasty. Zi Shouyu, Han nationality, from Yuanzhou District, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. During the reign of Emperor Xizong, he was a Jinshi, a doctor in the official capital, and was known as Zheng Duguan. Also named after "Partridge Poems", he is known as Zheng Partridge. Most of his poems describe scenery and objects, expressing the leisurely mood of scholar-bureaucrats. The style is fresh and popular, but superficial. He once sang and interacted with Xu Shang, Zhang Qiao, etc., and was known as "Ten Philosophers in Fanglin". The original collection has been lost and is preserved in "Yuntai Bian".
